Lazy Dog Restaurants Partner with Curbit to Optimize Off-Premise Demand and Enhance the Guest Experience with “Happy Handoffs”

Calabasas, CA 10/15/2024 – Curbit, the leading provider of kitchen capacity management solutions for the restaurant industry, is proud to announce its innovative platform has been successfully integrated across all Lazy Dog Restaurant locations. This partnership supports Lazy Dog’s commitment to enhance off-premise operations while maintaining the high standards of food quality and guest experience the brand is known for.

As off-premise dining continues to grow, Lazy Dog recognized the need to further refine its digital operations. After years of using in-house solutions, the restaurant turned to Curbit’s cutting-edge platform, completing a full integration within just two months across all of Lazy Dog’s existing kitchen workflows.

“Partnering with Curbit allowed us to further optimize our off-premise operations and deliver the exceptional experience our guests expect,” said Jarrod East,  Chief Technology Officer at Lazy Dog Restaurants. “Curbit’s seamless integration with our Kitchen Display System (KDS), custom throttling and online ordering platforms has enabled us to manage demand in real-time, communicate more effectively with our guests, and ensure orders are delivered at peak freshness.”

A Seamless Solution for Off-Premise Dining

Curbit’s platform, powered by Microsoft Cloud services, optimizes pickup and delivery by synchronizing real-time kitchen data with front-of-house operations. For Lazy Dog, the system has been particularly effective in enhancing curbside pickup. Through the integration with QSR Automations KDS and Olo’s online ordering platform, Curbit updates the front-of-house screens with guest arrival notifications and precise location information, allowing their teammates to meet guests exactly where they are.

The rollout also includes key foundational features such as:

  • Guest Messaging: Automated notifications provide guests with accurate promise times and real-time updates, reflecting the current kitchen capacity.
  • Teammate Communications: Front-of-house staff receive synchronized notifications, ensuring they are aligned with guest arrival times and ready to deliver orders curbside.

“Lazy Dog has long been on the cutting-edge of technical innovation. We are thrilled to partner with Jarrod and his team to not only optimize their existing digital operations, but deliver on their broader vision,” said Scott Siegel, Co-Founder and CRO at Curbit. “With the foundation of a well-aligned guest and staff experience in place, we look forward to continued collaboration with the Lazy Dog team.”

Building a Strong Foundation for the Future

Looking ahead, Lazy Dog and Curbit are excited to expand the partnership further by implementing advanced features. These include ensuring that digital orders start at the optimal time and allocating capacity for first-party orders, maximizing efficiency and enhancing guest satisfaction.

“With Curbit’s foundation now in place, we’re excited to leverage the advanced features that will allow us to continue enhancing our guest experience,” added East. “We are confident that Curbit’s solution will enable us to grow our digital offerings while maintaining the warmth and care that our brand is known for.”
